Moraitika and Corfu have a warm Mediterranean climate. The summer is cool and the temperature never exceeds 39o C even on the hottest days. The Kerkyra City can be stiflingly hot, so visitors should allow time to acclimatise. The evenings are cool. The winter is mild, as the temperature never drops very low, even in January. It rarely snows, while rainstorms are more frequent. November to March is the rainy season

Moraitika overview
About 20 klms. south of Corfu town, Moraitika is a laid back resort with a good sprinkling of tavernas and bars. The area has its own attraction and a good large sandy beach. Close neighbour Messonghi has never lost its small, typical Greek village atmosphere with traditional tavernas and local bars.
Moraitika beach is small and sandy/shingly. The entire area is slower in pace than the north of the Corfu island, but not lacking in charm or delightful ambience - a touch of the "real" Greece.
